About

Hello!

Welcome to F1 Power Rankings!

First things first, thank you for taking the time to read the blog.

I am a professionally trained multimedia journalist, with a postgraduate diploma from the Press Association in London. I currently work for Think Publishing in London as a writer for the Chartered Management Institute and the AAT.

The idea of 'Power Rankings' is nothing new; I am a huge fan of American Football and Basketball, and several American websites run this feature whereby a columnist ranks all the teams in the league based on not just their results but overall performances through the season. You will see some names in places where you might not expect, based on either out-performing their car or having a bad race or run of form.

I have had this idea for a few years and finally took the plunge in 2013 and set the blog up. Formula 1 is my first passion in my life, I have been watching races since 1997 (I was seven), even getting up in the middle of the night for the Japanese Grand Prix back then! It was always a dream of mine to work in the world of F1 and I took half a step closer when I attended the University of Birmingham.

For four years I worked as a Sports Journalist for the Redbrick student newspaper, working primarily as the F1 and American Football correspondent, but also covering an extensive range of both university-based and national/international sports (including Lacrosse, Rugby, Football, Cycling, Basketball, Hockey and so on!) With my passion for writing left unfulfilled upon graduating, this blog seemed like a natural thing to finally start.

If you have managed to find this blog in this gigantic universal cyberspace, I hope you enjoy reading it and would appreciate any feedback. Feel free to comment on the articles and share them.
